Refuge Crew

Refuge Crew members are an essential part of our radical hospitality team at Knoll Farm. They work alongside the retreat managers to support the experience for our guests. Tasks include washing dishes, cleaning yurts, doing laundry, making fires, tidying communal spaces and helping with special events.
Responsibilities include:
- Yurt Housekeeping (making beds, sweeping yurts, maintaining sanitary conditions of our handmade bathhouse, etc.)
- Washing dishes after meals
- Folding laundry
- Tidying communal spaces
- Building and maintaining fires in wood stoves and campfire circles
- Assisting with special events
Ideal Refuge Crew candidates posses a strong work ethic, an attention to detail and proven problem solving skills, as well as a strong sense of humor. Being of service to others is a top priority, as is loving people! Must be able to work well independently and in all kinds of weather.
We seek candidates who have an approachable demeanor and openness to input from all levels of staff and the general public. Must be sensitive to issues of gender, racial, ethnic and cultural diversity and inclusion.

The exact work schedule is arranged around the retreat calendar, but most shifts will be between 4-5 hours a few days each week.
The position does not include health benefits. Must have reliable transportation.
